for everyone

SAD *  WISDOM * DISAPPROVAL

My Grandmother---

She sat there staring at me... what was it I had done now?

Grandmother was always looking down her nose. I never seemed to be the granddaughter she wanted.. Where had I gone wrong?

She just sat there staring at me. No smile would come across her face, if it did , surely her face would crack.

I was always searching for her approval ; but never finding it.

Why should I worry about you old lady. You have no education. You have very little that you give to me in the way of wisdom. What thoughts are running through your brain.

Grandmother, look at me. I have grown to be a woman. I have children of my own.. Look at me ... What did you expect me to become?

I am your only granddaughter. I love you, can you not approve of me and my life.... just once.

Disapproval...ouch. Never being able to measure up. So absolutely painful. The only thing you can ever do is live the best life you can live - living up to your own standards.

What a beautiful picture Cheryl!
Now if your grandmother really disapproves of you (which might not be true?) it's because she disapproves of herself, no other reason! The search for approval never ends if we can't have it for ourselves in our hearts.
Blessings

how close to the heart is this?
It reads too much pain to be fiction....................
Always seek self satisfaction before satisfying anyone else.....
There is no greater respect than SELF respect...........
Anyway...good reading, with heart, soul and depth...............
just what is good here............................

This is fiction.... I read some of the other things that were written and chose Disapproval.
I have had approval from my grandmothers... so I just tried the other side..
Since this picture just spoke to me of someone that might not approve of things.

I guess , I achieved my goal of making you feel the pain.

Wow that was amazingly written. I am glad it was fictional, but it is very emotional photography and story.
